If you're searching for a Guidde alternative, a Scribe alternative or a Supademo alternative, you've probably hit the same wall many teams do: each tool is good at one format, and you need more than one.

Guidde is built around narrated video. Scribe is built around written step-by-step guides. Supademo is built around interactive click-through demos. Plenty of teams end up paying for two or three of them, each priced per creator, and keeping the same process documented in several places.

This post compares what each tool is built for, where each one falls short, and when a single tool that makes all three formats from one recording is the better fit. We make howtovideos.ai, so we're not neutral, but we've tried to be fair, and we tell you when another tool is the better choice.

A note on accuracy: details for other tools come from their public pricing and feature pages and our own hands-on trials in October 2026, and Clueso and Trupeer details were checked on their own websites in November 2026. Plans change often, so check each vendor's website before you decide. Our full, side-by-side table lives on the compare page.

Guidde: strong on narrated video

Guidde's core product is the narrated how-to video, and it's been doing it for a while. If narrated video is all you need, it's a capable choice.

Where teams run into limits, based on Guidde's public plans in October 2026:

  • No click-through demo. If you also want interactive demos for sales or onboarding, that's a second tool.
  • Key features sit on higher tiers. Written guide export starts on Pro, AI text-to-voice on Business, and translation and SCORM export on Enterprise or as an add-on.
  • Per-creator pricing. Costs rise with every person who makes videos.

Choose Guidde if you want a long-established video tool and already budget for its Enterprise plan.

Scribe: strong on written guides

Scribe captures your clicks as you work and turns them into a written step-by-step guide with screenshots. For quick written SOPs, it's fast and easy.

The limits, as of October 2026:

  • No narrated video. There's a basic "share as video" option, but no AI voiceover.
  • Capturing needs the extension. You can't start from a screen recording you already have.
  • Help-center pages and translation are on Enterprise.
  • Per-seat pricing, and the Pro Team plan has a five-seat minimum.

Choose Scribe if you only need quick written SOPs captured as you click, and you don't need a narrated video.

Supademo: strong on interactive demos

Supademo is built for interactive, click-through product demos, with branching paths and demo hubs. Sales and marketing teams use it to let prospects try a product without signing up.

The limits, as of October 2026:

  • Video is a slideshow export, not a narrated screen recording with zoom.
  • AI voiceover, demo hubs and translation start on the Scale plan.
  • No SCORM or LMS export for training teams.
  • Per-creator pricing.

Choose Supademo if you mainly need interactive product demos for sales, with branching paths and demo hubs. That's what it's built for.

Clueso and Trupeer

Two newer tools also come up in this search. Both turn screen recordings into AI-narrated videos, but they lean in different directions.

Clueso

As of November 2026, Clueso's site says it turns a recording, slides, documents or a prompt into a polished product video, with AI voiceover, AI avatars, auto captions, zoom effects, motion graphics and translation into more than 150 languages. It also turns videos into step-by-step help articles with screenshots. On its Enterprise plan, its browser agent can log in to a demo or staging account and record a walkthrough of your product, and Clueso's site says that with your GitHub repository connected it can spot videos that are out of date and regenerate them (the auto-update agent is a paid add-on on Enterprise).

Where it may not fit:

  • Interactive features are on Enterprise. Clueso offers interactive video with hotspots, branching and click-through steps, but its pricing page lists interactive video, quizzes and SCORM export on the Enterprise plan only.
  • Monthly export limits. Its self-serve plans cap video export minutes and article exports each month.
  • Agents are on Enterprise. Its pricing page lists the agents for auto-recording and updating videos on Enterprise, with the auto-update agent as a paid add-on.
  • Team features sit higher up. Live collaboration, clip templates and custom fonts start on Business, while the custom brand kit, comments, multiple workspaces and SSO are on Enterprise.

Choose Clueso if you mainly want heavily edited product and marketing videos with help articles alongside, and you can budget for Enterprise if you need interactive training.

Trupeer

As of November 2026, Trupeer's site says it turns a recording from its Chrome extension, or one you upload, into a narrated walkthrough with AI voiceover, automatic zoom on clicks, optional avatars and a script you edit to change the video. It also writes SOPs, manuals and process guides with screenshots, exported as DOC, PDF or Markdown, and offers a branded knowledge base with AI video search as an add-on. Its integrations page lists dozens of LMS, help-center and workflow tools.

Where it may not fit:

  • No click-through demos. Trupeer's site describes narrated video demos, and its own Supademo comparison lists click-through demos only under Supademo.
  • Key features are on higher plans. Translation and the brand kit start on Scale, and custom voice and avatar clones, approvals, PII blur and SSO are on Enterprise.
  • Recording length is capped on each self-serve plan, and the knowledge base is a paid add-on below Enterprise.
  • Document export needs a paid plan. Its pricing page lists DOC, PDF and Markdown export from the Pro plan up.

Choose Trupeer if you mainly need narrated walkthroughs and SOP documents for internal process and training work, and you don't need click-through demos.

The real problem: one process, three tools

Look at how most teams document a single task today:

  1. Record a narrated video in one tool.
  2. Capture a written guide in a second tool.
  3. Build a click-through demo in a third.
  4. Update all three when the product changes, or, more often, update one and forget the others.

Each tool is priced per creator, so a team of three pays for nine seats. And the formats drift apart: the video shows the old screen, the guide shows the new one, and the demo skips a step.

How howtovideos.ai approaches it

howtovideos.ai makes all three formats from one recording, and keeps them in sync because they come from the same steps:

  • A narrated MP4, with AI voiceover, auto-zoom on every click, captions and your brand, in 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16.
  • A written guide with a screenshot per step, as PDF, Word or Markdown.
  • A click-through interactive demo from the same capture, with branching, forms and calls to action.

Getting the recording in is flexible. Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM from any recorder (no extension needed), record in the browser, use the Chrome extension or desktop app, or paste a link and let an AI agent click through your app and record it. Recording from a URL is included with every video you buy, and on the Agency plan and up.

Editing is done in words, not on a timeline. Change a step's script and only the lines you changed are re-voiced.

Features that matter as your library grows

Comparison tables focus on making the first video. The bigger costs come later.

Keeping tutorials current

When your app's interface changes, every tutorial that shows it starts to mislead people. On the Team plan and up, howtovideos.ai runs freshness checks (for tutorials made with Paste a URL) that flag the steps whose screens no longer match, so you update those steps instead of re-recording everything. Guidde, Scribe and Supademo didn't offer this in our October 2026 comparison. Clueso's site says that, with your GitHub repository connected, its agents can find outdated videos and regenerate them, on its Enterprise plan with the auto-update agent as a paid add-on.

Publishing where people look

On the Team plan, howtovideos.ai publishes tutorials to Zendesk, Intercom, Help Scout, Notion and Confluence, and republishing updates the article rather than creating a duplicate. Every tutorial also has a hosted page and an embed code.

Agencies and client work

If you make tutorials for clients, the Agency plan gives you a separate workspace for each client, white-label share pages and client approval links, on a flat price rather than per seat.

Security reviews

Enterprise adds SSO with SAML and SCIM, alongside roles, approvals, version history and an audit log.

How to choose

Ask three questions:

  1. Which formats do you need? If it's only one (narrated video, written guides or sales demos) a specialist tool may be enough. If it's two or more, one tool that makes them all from a single recording saves time and keeps them consistent.
  2. Who will make them? Per-creator pricing gets expensive as more of your team makes tutorials.
  3. How often does your product change? Fast-moving products need tutorials that are quick to update, ideally step by step.

The fairest test is to try it on a real task. Take a process your team explains every week, record it once, and compare what you get back.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Guidde alternative?

It depends on what you need beyond narrated video. If you also want written guides and click-through demos from the same recording, howtovideos.ai makes all three. If you only need narrated video and already budget for Enterprise features, Guidde itself remains a solid choice.

Is there a Scribe alternative that makes videos?

Yes. Scribe is built for written guides and doesn't offer narrated video or AI voiceover. howtovideos.ai produces a narrated video and a written guide with screenshots from the same recording, and you can start from a recording you already have.

What's the difference between Supademo and howtovideos.ai?

Supademo is built for interactive sales demos, with video as a slideshow export. howtovideos.ai starts from a screen recording and produces a narrated video, a written guide and a click-through demo together, which suits support, training and documentation teams.

What is the best Clueso or Trupeer alternative?

If you want a narrated video, a written guide and a click-through demo from the same recording, howtovideos.ai makes all three. If you mainly want heavily edited product and marketing videos, Clueso is built for that, and if you mainly need narrated walkthroughs and SOP documents for internal training, Trupeer is.

Can I move my existing tutorials into howtovideos.ai?

If you have the original screen recordings, upload them as MP4, MOV or WebM and howtovideos.ai builds the steps, script and video. You can also turn a PDF or slides into a tutorial.
